Small business computer consulting appropriately setting your rates

In small business computer consulting, $100 an hour can be a reasonable and livable rate. Why can setting your rates at $100 an hour make all the difference in the world? Take the $100 an hour and multiply it by 1,500 hours a year. This is reflecting a 75% utilization rate; or 75% of a typical forty hour work week as billable time. Now you’re at $150,000 a year gross. Salary and Affordability As a small business computer consulting firm, you will want to take a third of the gross and plow it into sales and marketing. Therefore you can afford a $40,000 base salary for your sales account executive. So, of that one third of your gross small business computer consulting income, $40,000 can go to the base salary and $10,000 can go to related marketing expenses. Additionally, one third will take care of taxes, insurance and overhead items for the most part, and you have a third of it or $50,000 left to pay a technical staff salary. Surpassing $100 an Hour You may be considering exceeding a rate of $100 an hour for your small business computer consulting firm. At that point, you can hit what we call the not-so-imaginary-hourly-billing-rate ceiling. Needless to say, if your small business computer consulting clients are paying $110 to $125 an hour, it gets even easier to be able to afford really bright, motivated, highly qualified sales and technical staff. Higher Rates Equal Bigger Businesses However, if you want to charge above $100 an hour in your small business computer consulting firm, you’ll almost always need to move above and beyond sweet spot small business clients into really large small businesses, medium size businesses and enterprise-sized accounts that require a different business model and technical skill set. Once you do that, you’re going to be operating under a completely different type of business model. And you will need even more polished and seasoned salespeople to be able to handle those accounts. Fried breads from around the world

When we started this project, we envisioned an overview of fried breads from around the world with a handful of accompanying recipes. We soon realized that this was a project with no end, that every culture seems to have fried breads with never ending iterations. We ended up with a sampling of breads. We hope that this whets your appetite. Do a little research and experimenting. Fried breads are wonderful—especially in the summertime when we may not want the oven on. North America Pancakes and waffles are the most popular fried breads in North America. Typically served for breakfast or brunch they can also be made as savory cakes and served with sauces for lunch or dinner. There are many other variations of fried breads in America. Of course, many donuts and pastries are fried and therefore qualify as fried breads. Yeasted dough is fried at home or sold in food stands, carnivals, and fairs. Yeasted fried bread is often called fried dough and in some areas of the country, scones. These are usually served with butter and syrup or honey or dusted with powdered sugar. Fried yeasted bread is also known as elephant ears, flying saucers, and in Canada, beavertails. In Mexican restaurants in the United States, you will often find fried bread served as sopadillas though they are unknown in Mexico. These breads can be made with yeast or baking powder and are deep fried. There is also a history of fried bread among the American Natives. When the American Indians were located to reservations in the 1800’s, they were often in dire straits and learned to make bread from not much more than flour and water. From this came their style of fry bread. The dough is pressed flat and can be leavened with either yeast or baking powder. Often these bread pieces are topped with beans, ground beef, salsa, and cheese to make Indian or Navajo tacos. Central and South America While Mexicans may not have sopadillas, the Chileans do. Theirs are often from a dough including pumpkin or squash. Sopadillas are also popular in Argentina though these may be baked in an adobe oven, not fried. Both wheat and corn flours are used in these South American sapodillas. South American sopadillas are used as either side dishes or desserts. For side dishes, they are often salty. For desserts, they are sweetened with cinnamon and maybe a little orange. Buсuelos are made in Latin America. Traditionally, they are pretzel-shaped and covered in anise caramel or served with a cinnamon and sugar topping. Churros originated in Spain but are popular in Latin America and the Caribbean. They have found their way to the United States and can be found in Hispanic neighborhoods, ball parks, and fairs. Churros are extruded through a nozzle creating an eight-pointed star. They’re fried to a crispy consistency as doughnuts are and can be straight or twisted. Depending on the size and sweetness, churros are used as a sweet snack or a dessert. Scotland Bannock originated in Scotland but like so many fry breads, has evolved considerably. Traditionally, a bannock was an oatcake but in Eastern Canada where bannock is quite popular, it is made with wheat flour. Bannock was a staple for Western and Canadian fur traders, the bread that accompanied their pemmican. Today, bannock works for backpackers and canoeists. For these campers, the flour, baking powder, and oatmeal are mixed in a bag before leaving home with dried fruits and nuts added. At camp, enough water is added to make a stiff dough, the dough is shaped into patties and fried. If you are going to do some camping, consider making a bannock mix. Italy Zeppole are small, light, fried cakes from Italy. These sweet cakes are sold on the streets, given as gifts, and consumed on holidays. They can be filled with custard, jelly, or honey-butter and covered with powdered sugar. We looked at a number of recipes, many of which were too complicated for the home baker. The following recipe is easy though maybe not authentic. Authentic or not, these are decadently good. Eastern Europe Crepes are thin pancakes that originated in Eastern Europe but have migrated to America. They can be made in a frying pan though if you use a specially made pan intended for crepes, it’s a little easier. Crepes are filled with cheese and sometimes fruit fillings to make blintzes. India Chapatti is an unleavened griddle bread similar to pita bread. In India it is cooked on a special griddle called a tava and held over a fire so that steam within the bread puffs it up. The result is a puffy disc of flat bread. Of course, we didn’t have a tava or a fire in our test kitchen so we improvised. Our version may not be authentic but it is so quick and easy, it’s worth making. Chapatti is made from whole grain durum flour. We used a mixture of stone ground whole wheat and all purpose flours. We anglicized the recipe further by adding a touch of sugar. In India, Chapatti is a complement to vegetables, stews, and other dishes. We buttered them. Katie, our teenage daughter, walked in during the session and promptly found some jam to smear on them. She graduated to hot buttered chapatti sprinkled with plenty of cinnamon and sugar and declared them scrumptious. Portugal Portuguese fry bread is a made with baking powder but is quite similar to the yeasted fry breads that we find in the US. Because it is made with baking powder, it is quick and easy. How to install laminate flooring the directions are on the package

Knowing how to install laminate flooring is as simple as reading the instructions on each package of laminate flooring that you buy. The edges of the laminate flooring lock together with the tongue and groove feature of each plank. The same thing applies when you install hardwood floors. Each board has a tongue on one side and a groove on the other. Sometimes you may have to gently tap the laminate or hardwood planks to get them to fit together, but the whole process of how to install laminate flooring is relatively simple. Most of the time, when you are learning how to install laminate flooring, the planks simple snap together with the Uniclic system. It is important to read the instructions because each manufacturer has different methods of installing laminate flooring. If you are unsure about installing hardwood floors or laminate flooring, you can log onto the website of either the flooring retailer or the manufacturer. There is usually a section about installing the flooring and you might be able to download a PDF document telling you everything you need to know. When you get the information about how to install laminate flooring, you can practice on a small area where it doesn’t really matter whether you have to remove the planks. You do have to ask questions about how to install laminate flooring if you are not familiar with this type of flooring. These include bathroom, wet room, sauna or an enclosed porch or anywhere that would mean an excess of water or continual mopping. Extended exposure to moisture could damage your laminate and hardwood floors. This is why it is important to get all the information you can about how to install laminate flooring.

Blocking site or key logging is one better than the other

3 Arrests in 8 days in one small town, the first arrest an engineer, the second arrest was a Doctor, and the third was a 26 year old. All three of them were using the Internet to lure teenage girls into meeting with them for the express purpose of molesting them. "The message is, I hope the parents of children will start monitoring what their activities are on the Internet. There are a lot of pedophiles preying on these children," said Johnston. (James Johnson is a police officer in Ardmore, Alabama). "Check your caller I. D. Know who your kids are talking to. If you can, go into the history on your computers. Know what times they are talking to these people. They always want to talk when their parents are gone," he said. This is such a serious problem that the FBI admits to playing catch-up when it comes to combating clever pedophiles using the Internet, and Law Enforcement agencies plea for more money to combat this growing threat. The Bottom line is this; try as they may the government can’t stop pedophiles or keep online pedophiles away from your children, it’s up to you to keep them safe and the good news is that there are methods that can be used to not only stop online predators from harming your children, but protect yourself as well since many predators also threaten families if the victim talks. One of the methods available is called Blocking software, this software works by blocking objectionable content from ever showing up, the software is updated frequently, often daily with a list of sites (called blacklisted), places that cannot be accessed by the computer, using either a web browser such as Internet Explorer, or an instant messaging client and whenever someone tries to access an Internet page the site is compared to the blacklist and the site/chat room is either allowed or not. The other method is keylogging, this method work by recording everything that is typed on the keyboard or clicked by the mouse. One of the advantages that is provided by this approach is if your child has been approached online they generally will not come out and tell you since an online pedophile almost always threatens the child or their family if they talk, and many times the child feels guilty or somehow responsible for the pedophile’s approach in the first place. Unfortunately the online pedophile knows this and capitalizes on guilt, shame or fear this is all part of the grooming process that the offender uses to ease the child into an abusive relationship. Blocking software has its place, and is generally better used for young children since it will keep unwanted material from ever showing up, but it’s use is apparent, that is anyone over the age of 8 or perhaps even younger will know that they are being redirected to a safe website, as a parent or guardian you are definitely the best judge of your child and what they should be allowed to see, and where they should go. Which brings us to key logging software, there are many key loggers available some of them will even email you when a certain word or words that you choose are used. Please remember that child predation is the most underreported crime in the United States, and although the statistics vary greatly depending on the source and many other factors, but the fact remains that as a parent or guardian something should be done.

Cleveland cavaliers tickets is lebron s supporting cast good enough

Cleveland Cavaliers tickets have seemingly always been a chance for many to see what they feel is the “next Jordan.” Of course, that moniker has been given to others before LeBron James, but as he progresses into his career, the parallels are becoming more prevalent. Early in his career, Jordan was criticized for not getting his teammates involved, but looking back, the apparent reason was that his teammates usually weren’t good enough to close out games. Is LeBron finding himself in the same predicament? The Cavaliers currently sit with a 30-21 record, which is more than good enough to get into the playoffs in the weak Eastern Conference. Not to mention, the Cavs pushed the Pistons to the brink last year before bowing out in a rugged, physical series. Their core from last season returned largely intact, and the Cavs have basically picked up where they left off in the playoffs. However, are the Cavs headed for the same fate as last season? A look at a few of their other starters may help predict what will ultimately become of this team: PG Daniel Gibson Gibson only recently moved into the starting lineup, so it’s too early to tell how this young PG will do, but so far, even though he’s been solid, he’s not yet a difference-maker. SG Larry Hughes Hughes is coming back from injury, so like Gibson, it’s a little early to tell just how he’ll contribute in the big picture. He’s as athletic as any guard in the league, but he’s shooting just over 40% from the field, and that needs to be better if the Cavs are going to take that next step. C Zydrunas Ilgauskas It wasn’t too long ago that “Z” was the biggest reason to get Cleveland Cavaliers tickets. It’s always been the same story with him, however - highly skilled, can score with the best, but injury-prone. His minutes are down a bit this year and he’s been healthy, but he’ll have to remain that way if the Cavs are going to break through to the NBA Finals. PF Drew Gooden Gooden is a strong physical presence, and is a prototypical “lunch pail” guy. He scores mostly off rebounds, gets a lot of boards, and plays decent defense. However, like so many others in the starting five, he’s not the type to take over a game, but will play an important role in a playoff run. What Does it all Mean? In looking at the Cavaliers’ lineup, you see a lot of role players and hard workers, but what the Cavaliers really seem to be missing is that second option for those nights when LeBron isn’t feeling it. Jordan didn’t start to win championships until he had Pippen to play that role, and if Hughes can continue to get better, he could be that guy. If so, get your Cleveland Cavaliers tickets now, as they’ll be making a deep run into the playoffs.

The history of cheese dates back many centuries

The last time you broke open a package of cheddar; did you wonder where that cheese actually came from or how it came into existence? Chances are good that you were probably more interested in getting those slices on your bread or crackers than in the history of your cheese. However, cheese has a long and interesting history that actually dates back much farther than Christ – almost to the beginning of the world as we know it. It’s pretty amazing to think that the slice of cheddar you are eating has a longer history than almost every civilization on earth! How did the History of Cheese Begin? Ancient folklore states that the history of cheese originated with a nomadic traveler that had packed milk for his travel in a saddlebag that had been created from the stomach of a young animal. That bag contained rennet, which is a product found in animal stomachs and is an enzyme that helps to transform milk into cheese. When this weary traveler stopped for a refreshing drink of his milk, he realized that the liquid has been changed into curds and whey. Both were found to be very tasty, and the love of cheese was born. The Old Testament of the Bible makes many references to cheese and cheese making, leading historians to believe that the history of cheese dates back much farther than the birth of Christ. There have been curdling vessels found that can date back as far as 5000 B. C. and written diagrams showing the process of milking cows and curdling the milk that go back to 3500 B. C. It is thought that cheese was first made in the Middle East, but the popularity of the food quickly spread throughout much of Europe. By the thirteenth century, farm women realized the advantage of combining their resources to create cheese, and cooperative dairies were born. As more and more countries got into the cheese-making act, many different varieties of cheeses came into existence. During the Middle Ages, monks got into the cheese-making arena as well, and we can credit them for many of the varieties of cheese that we have today. The history of cheese continued into the nineteenth century, when cheeses began to be made in factories instead of on farms. The variety of cheeses that we enjoy today can be attributed to the various regions in the world that tried their own hand at cheese making with great success and flavor contributions.

How to craft porcelain doll aprons

How to Craft Porcelain Doll Aprons Now that you have created patterns to make your porcelain doll dress, you may want to add an apron to enhance her fashion. Aprons are relatively simple to make. You will need material, including 6 inches of light colored plain-woven fabrics (Batiste) to make your apron. You will also need lace, about 3/8 inches with narrowed edges. In addition, you will need white DMC thread made of poly-cotton, embroidery white thread, fabric glue and spray, embroidery DMC thread (pink and green; 818-pink; 524-green) and studs for your apron. (OOO-Studs) Now that you have your items, you can begin making your apron. You can either procure lace or else design your own edges. In this instance, we are going to make up edges, such as the scallop and ruffles. You will need craft paper and pencil to draw your apron pattern. Once you have the pattern drawn, cut it out. Use your stabilizer spray, at the bottom untreated edges, spray about 2 inches, and allow it to dry. Press your rigid fabric. Now, begin sewing a fabric edging, i. e. an ornamental undulate edge in your fabric. (Scallop) You want to sew along the bottom untreated edges. Next, sew parallel with the distance across your skirt. Leave Ѕ inch or 1 inch opening at the right side of your “foot presser.” Avoid sewing overly close to the untreated edges. TIP: If you use a sewing machine, use your settings to form the scallop method. Next, use your fabric glue and run it the length of the outside edges of your pattern. Allow the glue to dry and then cut excessive fabric using craft scissors to fit. Cut another 15 inches lengthwise of your fabric and another 4 inches widthwise. You are now ready to start stitching your ruffles. Sew your embroidery scallop on after you finish the untreated edges, stitching the edges so that it zigzags. You want to stitch the seams at the back to the dot and to the hem. Gather your stitches, running them in a line and at the crown. To create the edge of your apron, cut any unwanted length. Apron making is created in a few methods, which include cutting out the “shoulder straps” and the waistline per outline or pattern. You want to crisscross when stitching along the thin edges of the lace. Continue stitching to the middle edges at the back and bring the right edges collectively to open the apron at the back middle. Now you can fold the lace, press and add a couple of lines while collecting the stitches near the edges of the crown of your kilt. Gather and pull up the fitted kilt, collecting it to meet the waist and compare the middle front as well as the notch. Make sure the gathered area is even. Stitch collectively and brush the seams whilst using the crisscross method to complete your task. Next, trim the shoulder ruffles in a straight line along the pattern to sew fabric edges. (Scallop) Now take your stitches, gather, and run a few lines along the curvatures of the edge of your shoulder ruffles. Between the notches on your shoulder scrap, place your completed edges and even them out as you sew the seam lines and the trim. Now, fold the straps along the folded line. Press your pattern and turn it so that it falls beneath the untreated edges. Next, sew hidden stitches beneath the strap, preparing the seams of your ruffles. The shoulder straps can now go on the waistband, which should compare to the notches. Before you complete your task, compare the shoulder straps to your doll to make sure it fits, and then complete your stitching.

The automatic champion

“Babe” Didrickson Zaharias was a phenomenal athlete. This Texan ran, jumped, rode horses, and played basketball and baseball—with tremendous flair. In the Olympic tryouts in 1932, she won five first places in track and field events. In the games of that year in Los Angeles, she won a gold medal in the women’s 80 meter hurdles, a gold medal in the javelin throw, and a silver medal in the high jump. After the Olympics, Zaharias turned to golf. Although she started from scratch, she won the National Women’s Amateur and the British Women’s Amateur. The press hailed her as a “natural athlete.” They often referred to as an “automatic champion.” But the real story behind Zaharias fairy-tale success was her painstaking diligence. Her success came from studied repetition. In every sport she undertook, she was methodical, deliberate, and persistent. She was neither “natural” nor “automatic.” When, for example, she played golf for the first time, she did not automatically master the game. Instead she studied the game carefully, covering all its complex skill sets, under the tutelage of the finest golf teacher she could find. She looked at all the elements of the golf swing, broke it down into parts, then put it all together in a fluid movement. Besides using an analytical approach to understand the game, Zaharias also locked the information into her motor nervous system through exhaustive practice. She would spend as many as 12 hours a day on the golf course, hitting as many as a thousand balls. Her hands would often becomes so sore that she could hardly grip her club. She stopped only long enough to tape up her hands before picking up the club again. Zaharias learned to play golf the right way. She started out by hiring an exceptional teacher. She analyzed each part of the golf swing then put them all together in a fluid motion. She practiced for about 12 hours a day. She exercised self-discipline and self-sacrifice. And she didn’t doubt herself. Her previous successes had created an enduring self-confidence. She believed that if she applied herself she would be a golf champion. She proved this belief true. Zaharias took a risk. She risked her reputation as an athlete by trying something new. She also risked the time and money it cost her to perfect her new sport. Above all, she was methodical in the way she went about inventing herself as a champion golfer. She chose a gifted teacher, studied all aspects of the game, and put her new knowledge into practice, converting theory into motor learning, coordination, and stamina.

Ten things that loose you credibility as web designers

1) A hit counter Is it 1998? Why do you need one? Many clients want some way to track their visitors or see how many unique visits they have. Do them a favor and don't use a CGI or visible hot counter. The world uses invisible tracking now. Google analytics is free and incredibly useful. Give them access to that. Educate your client if this is a problem. You're the web designer. 2) Black backgrounds Black backgrounds can be pulled off really only by professional designers. If you are one, great for you, if not, stick to white or a brighter color. And for the love of God, don't place a dark text on a dark background. Use your common sense. Educate your client if this is a problem. You're the web designer. 3) Background Music If I want to listen to music, I have my own, and I have my own player. Visitors to a website are there for a reason. To find what they are looking for. Do not intrude on that. Your job is to make that information available and present it in the most appealing way. You are a web designer, not a DJ. If I’m listening to music while browsing, I don't want yours overlaid. It's very annoying. Educate your client if this is a problem. You're the web designer. 4) Pointless JavaScript Disabling right click has no purpose apart from annoying people and making you look unprofessional. Avoid using pointless free JavaScript widgets just for the sake of it. Scrolling text in the status bar. If you want to present information, present it on the page. Educate your client if this is a problem. You're the web designer. 5) Spelling and Grammar How difficult is it to run a spell check? We all make mistakes. We're human after all. Even the spell checkers make mistakes. But chronic misspellings and poor grammar just makes you look stupid. 6) Banners And Ads By all means use them, but not too many/only if your site is established. CPM advertising can be a great way to earn revenue, but plastering every pixel of screen real estate with banners and ads makes you look like you’re just in it for the money. Maybe you are, but have at least some decent content to justify it. Adsense and other contextual advertising should HELP your users. Remember that. Popups on landing pages just annoy people. 7) Overuse Of Flashy Graphics If I want flashing and colorful lights, Ill go to a disco. Once, twice or even three times and it has my attention. That’s enough. 8) Flash Splash Pages Does anyone really need to see your 3 minute graphics presentation? Probably not. If you are trying to show off, let a visitor choose if they want to see it. If you MUST show a flash splash screen, at least give the option to skip it. 9) Asking users to join before viewing content or a forum This one really grinds my gears. If you have a forum or have useful content, show it. Do not make members sign up to view it. They should only sign up to post/reply/contribute. Limiting viewing of content will drive visitors away in droves. 10) Browser Dependence Dont make your website "Designed for Internet Explorer" or any other browser. Make it accessible and cross browser compatible. Why on earth would you or your client want to exclude anyone? Use your brain. Educate your client if this is a problem. You're the web designer.

Chinese hope to make british car that works

Remember the MG? Worse yet, did you ever own one? Then cower in fear. The Chinese bought the MG brand name and are about to open a plant to build the malfunctioning suckers in Oklahoma. The Nanjing Automobile Group, which acquired bankrupt MG Rover Group last year, plans to be the first Chinese automaker to open a factory in the US. The product will be called the MG TF Coupe and will be out in 2008. Let’s hope they do a better job with the racy brand than the Brits did. I never did own an MG, but I owned another British car, a venerable Jaguar, that I had repaired at a place that specialized in servicing MGs. Here is my story, with one caveat. I understand now that Ford bought the Jag brand, it works better. My old Jaguar XJ 6 sedan was a beauty, prettiest car on the road. Only trouble is the mechanical aspects brought home the idea of a hornet's nest. There were always at least five things going wrong at the same time. To save money on the upkeep, I used to take it to place that worked on MGs instead of to the Jag dealer. I asked the guy who ran the shop, a wily Irishman, why the cars always had problems. “Well, you know the limeys," he replied with a ornery glint in his eyes. "A bunch of socialists. So they’re on the assembly line, and they see an engine with a loose screw. So Frank looks at Harry and says, “Harry, would you look at that? A loose screw.” And Harry says, “Why, yes, I believe you've got that right. It is a loose screw. ” But do either one of them bend over and tighten it. No. The engine just keeps moving along the assembly line. Then there was the day I was parked outside the shop, waiting for a space inside the busy place, so I could pull my car in for repairs, when suddenly I saw something out of the corner of my eye. Then there was a huge thump on the side of the car near the sidewalk. I turned and an otherwise normal-looking businessman in a suit had a furious look on his face and was actually kicking my car. I rolled down the window and, in keeping with the British spirit of the car, I asked calmly, “Excuse me, sir, but why are you kicking my car?” “I used to own one of these damn things,” he shouted, “and every time I see one I think how many problems I had with it and I get upset.” Then he quieted down, as if the confession let the hottest steam out. “I’m sorry,” he went on, “but I couldn’t help myelf.” “That’s OK,” I said, “I might decide to kick it myself.” Then there were the two worst problems I had with it. The drain in the dashboard for the air conditioner used to get plugged. Apparently, it was too small. Anyway, the condensation would build up, and pretty soon I could hear water sloshing in the dashboard. The real problem was, when I turned a corner, the water would rush to one side and pour out of the vent onto my lap or, worse yet, onto the lap of the person who was unfortunate enough to be on the passenger side. The other rather inconvenient problem was, when I’d be driving down the highway at night and a car would come my way, and I’d push on the button on the floor to dim the headlights, they’d go out completely. That’s right. I’d be hurtling down the highway in pitch darkness, except for the scant illumination provided by the distant oncoming lights. So I’d quickly start slamming at the button, and, after three or four desperate shots, back on would come the headlights. When I brought the problem to the attention of my world-weary mechanic, he referred to the name of the manufacturer of the electrical setup, as he informed me, “You now what they call the Lucas electrical system, don’t you? The prince of darkness.” To add insult to injury, I went to the automobile show at the old New York Collesum one year. When I saw the Jag on display, I went up to the dealer in attendance and asked, "Why can’t they make a Jaguar that works right?” He smiled slyly and gestured toward the sleek, gleaming grey sedan, and just said, “But look at it.” Yep, if you liked the design, you were expected to put up with the malfunctions. Last, when the time came that I could no longer stand the wreck, primarily because the radiator wouldn’t stop leaking, I looked in the yellow pages for the places that buy used cars. I saw an ad that said "2000 Cars Wanted." I called. The guy who answered was very receptive till he asked, “What kind of car do you have?” “A Jaguar,” I confessed. “Oh," he said, his voice growing recessive, “that’s the only car we don’t take.” So I loaded the radiator of the embarrassingly rejected beast up with fresh water and drove it to the nearest dealer in American cars, swearing I’d never buy another import. Fortunately, I arrived before the thing started to smoke and managed to make a halfway decent deal. I drove out in a new American car. While it didn't turn out to be a flawless mechancial achievement, either, it was at least a hundred times better than the Jag. Obviously, this article strayed from MGs, but the car was cut from the same carelesss cloth as the Jag. Both brands help account for why, in these sleekly robotic times of exact Japanese assembly, English cars now own even less of the road than Detroit’s.

Feng shui colors for the bedroom

Feng Shui is about balance and harmony in our environments. The bedroom is a very important room (we spend the majority of our day there), so many people naturally ask how to improve their bedroom using color selection according to Feng Shui. As we discuss bedroom colors, it is also imperative to recognize the importance of the other rooms in your house. Enhancing your bedroom without enhancing the other beneficial areas of your home does not provide you with the full benefits of Feng Shui. Feng Shui is about balancing the energy in your complete and total environment. With that said, here are some Feng Shui tips to consider for your bedroom… Don’t overdo the bright colors in your bedroom. Bright colors are alive and moving, so the more bright colors that are used, the harder it will be to stay asleep. This also applies to plants and especially water. Plants and water manifest yang energy, and cause the same issues in the bedroom as bright colors. The colors associated with plants and water are green, black, and blue. Bright colors to avoid are reds, strong oranges or bright yellows. Florescent colors are out of the question! Pictures of moving water can also cause problems. If you’ve got a picture of a waterfall, river, or ocean in your bedroom, it’s a wise idea to move it. Unfortunately, aquariums in the bedroom can also cause sleeping issues and should be moved. Although you should avoid red in the bedroom, a little touch of red can spice up your sex life! (Red is fire, so lit candles count as red.) Dark colors (shades of brown) should be used in the dĐšcor of the bedroom, but not on the walls. Painting the bedroom walls a dark color might help you sleep, but won’t help you feel rejuvenated in the morning. Darker colored dĐšcor should be used to the point of tilting the room’s ambiance yin, without making you feel like you’re party to a funeral. You don’t have to just use browns, pick darker colors and designs that are relaxing for you. If you’re room is already very dark (wood paneled, for example) and you can’t make changes to it, you might want to consider changing any “yellow light” producing light bulbs to brighter, whiter bulbs. Opening the blinds during the day will also dramatically improve the rooms feeling. If it’s dark at night, balance it with brightness during the day. (Clearing any room occasionally by opening all the blinds is extremely beneficial.) In painting the bedroom, using pastel colors is your best bet. The best colors to use depend on the compass direction of the room’s location. To determine the compass direction of your home, draw your house’s outline on a piece of paper, and split the home into 9 equal sections (3 down, 3 across). Use a compass to find which direction is north, and label each box according to that compass direction (North can be in a corner). Here are the color combinations: - NE, Center, or SW: Rooms located here should be painted pastel earthy colors, including light shade of yellow. - NW or W: Rooms located here benefit from metal, so use a shade of white. - SE or E: The SE and East benefit from the color green, but you may want to only use these colors if the room will be used as a study. Then a shade of green would be perfect. Otherwise, use pastel earthy colors including shades of yellow. White is not helpful here, as it destroys the productive properties of the SE and East. These directions are associated with wealth. - S: The South benefits from red. If you want to use red here, use it sparingly as too much will cause restlessness in bed. Use shades of white for the walls. - N: The north benefits from blue and black (water). Since you can’t use water, try white instead, as white (metal) will help with the benefits of water without using water. I know this might be a letdown, as some of you reading this were hoping to hear painting a room florescent orange would make you an international movie star overnight! But Feng Shui is about balance and harmony, so using light, pastel colors is your best bet when painting the walls. There are some other critical Feng Shui tips that you should be aware of, including determining which compass directions will bring you the most luck - and which ones you should avoid at all costs. Overall, VC’s a good UK online casino with a good look and a reliable reputation. We like to take our money here.

Exercise bikes reviews and advice

Two types of exercise bikes are available. The design of the upright bike resembles that of a typical road bike but they are stationary. The pedals are positioned below the rider and puts added stress on the joints. The seat on the recumbent bike’s seat resembles chairs and the pedals are out in front of the rider so that pedaling is more natural and puts less stress on the joints. Other types of exercise bikes are available as well. Dual action exercise bikes are upright bikes that have moveable bars or arm handles. You use both of your arms and your legs on this bike. While using this bike you will experience aerobic activity and upper body toning. There is variety with resistance bikes as well. With direct tension bikes you can manually adjust the resistance you use. The cycling motion on a bike with flywheels is like regular cycling motion. Bikes with air assistance get resistance by pedaling against the airflow of a fan blade. The most sophisticated resistance bikes are magnetic frictionless resistance bikes. These bikes provide greater variety of workout levels. On more advanced bikes there are feedback mechanisms that show the following readouts: speed, time, distance , total calories and fat burned, program mode, resistance levels, pulse, heart rate, and work out levels (RPM, watts, METS, mpm’s, and mph/kph). The bike you choose to purchase will depend on your wants and needs. The type of workout you’re looking for will also influence your choice of bikes. A great cardio workout focused on the quadriceps is provided by an upright bike. You are seated in a reclining position on a recumbent bike. Your back is supported by the seat and your legs are out in front of you. The hamstring muscles and the gluteus muscles get worked. Your lower back is less stressed on a recumbent bike. Some upright exercise bikes will have handlebars that move in a simulated rowing motion. Your back and chest and your arm and back muscles will get a workout. You will get an excellent cardiovascular workout and calorie burning experience with both of these bikes. The bike should be matched to your size. Exercise bikes for the most part are easily adjusted for almost any body type. There is a variety of reasons why people use exercise bikes. Cyclists use them to keep up their level of fitness in the off season. Many people feel embarrassed about exercising in front of people so they use them at home. Physical therapy programs also use exercise bikes in their programs to promote healing and the regaining the use of knee and hip joints. Some cardiac rehab programs use them as well, to promote endurance and greater cardiac health. Exercise bikes can be purchased in sports stores, department stores like Wal-mart or Sears, as well as online. Buying them from a store makes it easier to match the bike to your space, to your body size, and your budget. Buying online creates the risk of you not getting exactly what you ordered. The bike you ordered may not have the exact specs or may be bigger or smaller than what you ordered. Taking delivery is another problem with ordering online. It is very likely that the delivery company will not bring it into your house, you will have to bring it in and set it up. Even though you are buying it in a store this is true, unless you contract with someone to do the entire process including setting it up. You can purchase service contracts from a store like Sears, in case of a problem. No matter what the reason you have for purchasing an exercise bike, it will only work if you use it. You should check with your doctor to make sure you are healthy before starting a new exercise routine. At first you should start out slow and build up endurance. Your endurance will improve if you start out slow. Have fun, be safe and be healthy.

3 Tips for choosing a payment gateway collecting money online

As a consumer, when you check out of your local convenience store, you may swipe your credit card through a point-of-sale device and your gas, coffee, and donut are paid. But what if you are the retailer and your business is online? It’s not like you have a card-swiping device at every customer’s PC! There must be a way for you to process that information. Essentially, that is the job that a payment gateway does for online retailers. Roy Banks, president of Authorize. net, a leader in the payment gateway industry, describes his company’s function as “the digital version of a hardware point of sale terminal.” What is a Payment Gateway? Payment gateways allow online merchants such as eStore owners or auction sellers to accept credit card payments over the internet. They authorize the cardholder’s credit—that is, they check to ensure that the customer has enough money on their credit card to cover the charges. They then place a hold on that amount so the buyer can’t turn around and spend that same money elsewhere before it gets transferred to the retailer’s merchant account. Banks describes this as “the technology…necessary to consummate a payment transaction.” A Payment Gateway is NOT a Merchant Account. Many people confuse merchant accounts with payment gateways but they are not the same. Merchant account services act, for the most part, as a liaison between your business bank account and the payment gateway. When a customer orders a product from your online business their card is processed via the payment gateway. The money is then moved over to the merchant account service. The merchant account service then moves those newly captured funds to your business bank account. 3 Tips for choosing a Payment Gateway: 1. Is it PCI-compliant? That means that the company’s security has been audited by a third party and found to be up to industry standards. Since payment gateways store all your customers’ credit card information (sparing you the stress), it also means you can sleep better at night, knowing your customers’ valuable information is safe and sound. 2. Good customer support. ‘Nuf said. 3.Lastly, it is important that the payment gateway you choose be integrated to the third-party solutions you are planning to use. That means things like store front platforms and shopping carts—you want them to be compatible with your gateway. Payment gateways will not only allow you to collect the monies from your sales, many also offer an array of security features, some of which will help you avoid becoming a victim of fraudulent orders! In the end, they will make your ecommerce business a less-stressful, more pleasant experience—for both you and your customers.

Top 5 things wellness seekers know

At a certain point our lives don’t change much. We’re moving around on automatic pilot and don’t notice the sameness that has taken over—sometimes for many years. We’ve gotten used to very little occurring in our lives beyond our daily routine, and many people become comfortable with that, or just accept it. Somewhere along the way our lives got stale. We’re stuck in a rut. But don’t despair; being in control of your own life is being in control of your wellness! More and more people are regaining control of their lives and changing their futures. They're setting goals and reaching them, they’re feeling better, being happier, getting healthier and spending more time and energy on what matters to them. Their outlook on life has improved dramatically. As you know, the concept of wellness covers a broad range—with different definitions depending on where you look. But for starters, let’s use the following—wellness is the belief that improvement is possible throughout our lives. We’re continuously seeking information on how we can improve. We’re choosing options and making decisions that support our best interests. Everything we think, feel and believe impacts our whole being. You are in command of all aspects of your life—physical, career, relationships, finances, spiritual, environment, and emotional well-being, and so on. You can break free and take charge of your life. Try these simple ways to discover how you can start moving towards taking control of your life and wellness. 1. Turn lack of time into more time. "I don’t have the time," that’s what John, a corporate attorney, constantly told himself and others. He knew he wasn’t alone. Lack of time was a concern for nearly every person he knew. John really wanted to be happier and healthier, but he just didn’t have free time to date, visit family, exercise, or any of the other things that made him happy. When John decided he had to take control of his wellness, the first thing he did was regain ownership of his time. He examined how he spent his time on an average day. By jotting down his daily activities and realigning his priorities, John found opportunities to include the things he really cared about in his daily life. 2. Reclaim your energy. Megan, a wife, mom and marketing executive, was always tired. She had no energy to meet the demands of her job, do housework, run errands, cook, take care of her children, or the other priorities that made up her day. Megan desperately needed to reclaim her energy—but instead, she let people drain it, steal it and suck it away. To begin, Megan examined the areas of her life that needed more attention and focus. She also drew new boundaries to protect herself, by declaring what she would and wouldn’t allow. Instead of working 12 hours, Megan cut her workday to no more than nine hours. She stuck to her plan, reclaimed her energy, and is there for her family and job with a new, revitalized energy. 3. Make lasting changes. "Our resistance to making lasting changes is innate," says Jeff, a mortgage loan officer. "It’s such a big challenge for everybody." He constantly told himself that his inner resistance to making changes would stay with him forever. Jeff’s first step was to recognize that resistance is always the initial barrier to making changes. For example, losing the 70 pounds his doctor recommended would offset having to take daily medication for his Type II diabetes. Jeff started by being open to seeing the positive side of change—i. e., first making a decision to change, and then enlisting help in doing so. He joined the YMCA, and now participates in Tai Chi and walks five days a week. He’s also met with a nutritionist who has helped him gain a better understanding of what to eat in order to maintain his overall health and well-being. Jeff has lost 30 pounds and continues to maintain a healthy, balanced diet. 4. Set boundaries around your life. What’s one of the shortest words—yet so difficult for many people to utter? If you guessed "No," you’re right on the money. Sidney, a customer service supervisor was so afraid of saying no that when someone asked her to do something, she felt queasy inside because she wanted to say no, but felt uncomfortable actually doing it. The first thing she needed to do was learn her limits. She realized that learning to say no to the things that she didn’t want to do would help her reduce the stress of excessive demands on her time and energy. Sidney could say no in a way that was comfortable to her, yet respectful to the other person. Many people believe when someone makes a request of you, you must say yes, but saying no isn’t that horrible! When Sidney began saying no, it changed her whole life; she found her "to do" list shrinking. She recognized that it was her choice to either overload her schedule or only accept requests to do something when she wanted to. 5. Take excellent care of yourself. Eden, an emergency room specialist, wanted to improve her quality of life. She was bored with her daily routine, and her social life was nonexistent. Eden began making changes for the better by putting her needs first. She focused on what she wanted, instead of others’ desires. She began scheduling two social activities on her calendar each month, in order to create a social life. Eden never really enjoyed living in the suburbs, but she was close to her job. She put together an action plan for re-inventing her life. The first thing she did was sell her house in the suburbs and move to a more urban environment in which she always dreamed. She could walk to quaint cafĐš’s, visit bookstores, shops and attend local festivals and art fairs right in her neighborhood. She started networking and began to meet new people on a regular basis. Eden’s life has become more satisfying and fulfilling. It’s certainly a personal choice to get on the road to feeling better, being happier and getting healthier. It’s a choice you should consider making. For those of you reading this article, I challenge you to take a few moments to assess how you’re feeling. How’s your energy level? How much "me" time do you take on a daily basis? How’s your overall self-care? Consider how much better you know you could be with some effort, commitment, and support. Now is the time to make time in your schedule for you.

Driving in germany

I will start off with some ‘common sense’ information like your drivers license. Of course if you are not a German citizen your drivers license probably does not authorize you to drive in Germany. You will need to contact your local license branch (BMV) and find out the steps you need to take to receive an international drivers license. I have not personally done this because I have a European military drivers license but from what I have heard it is not too hard to do or terribly costly. Next of course is having a car to drive when you arrive in Germany. This is pretty obvious. Coordinate with any INTERNATIONAL car rental service and they can have a car ready and waiting for you at your arrival city. Another option is to rent the car in Germany, which is a pretty easy process as well. Most service representatives speak English and will be happy to help you out. Now you will need to know the ‘meat and potatoes’ of driving in Germany, the traffic laws. If you are an American, or have driven in the U. S., you will find that driving in Germany is not much different. Without telling you every single travel law written in Germany, I will try to shed some light on some of the major differences: Traffic lights: When pulling up to a traffic light you will notice that unlike the U. S. traffic lights which go from green to yellow to red and then directly back to green, German traffic lights will go from red to yellow and then green. This is nothing to worry about. I guess they just want to make sure you have it in gear and your ready to take off. The second thing, but extremely more important, is the ‘right on red’ rule we have in the U. S. This rule DOES NOT EXIST in Germany. If you try to make a right turn when the traffic light is red you may find yourself in a lot of pain and in a major lawsuit. Autobahn: If you are thinking that the autobahn is the paradise for people with a lead foot you may end up with a speeding ticket. Although there are some stretches of the autobahn that have no speed limit there is a recommended speed limit of 120 kilometers per hour that you should obey. Granted, most do exceed this speed recommendation but now you know you CAN be ticketed. Accidents: If you are the first on the seen of an accident in which someone has been injured you are required by law to provide assistance. Whether you simply stop and call an ambulance (112) not (911), or you provide medical aid, you must do something to help the casualty. Where is Ausfhart Germany? No Ausfhart is not a city that seems to pop up everywhere you go. Ausfhart is the German word for exit.

Fitness for kids

America's children are overweight. Why? Because WE are! Two-thirds (66%) of Americans are overweight according to the Centers for Disease Control/Prevention, with 15-30% of the children either overweight or dangerously close to being overweight. That means that nearly 200 million Americans fall into the overweight category. We are setting a horrible example for our children. According to a study conducted by Weight Watchers International Inc. and the American Health Foundation, 25% of American children are now officially overweight, and the youngest are especially at risk. These extra pounds are more than just a passing phase; another ADA study suggests that half of obese children will become fat adults. "Obesity among children is increasing at an alarming rate, and the health consequences are very severe," confirms Karen Miller-Kovach, RD, chief scientist for Weight Watchers. Billions of dollars every year are spent on medical bills by overweight/obese patients due to (preventable) obesity related illnesses like diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterol. What's behind the growing number of children who are now overweight? "Lack of exercise accounts for more than 50 percent of the problem," says Miller-Kovach. She also adds, only 30 percent of the problem is due to overeating or choosing the wrong types of foods. So, let's resolve to better ourselves, set the example, and get our children moving again. Last week, I offered a solution -- a free 45-Day Beginner workout -- as part of the Get Started Again with Exercise article -- for free download. Now, you can get one here for your children too. This ebook has workouts and ideas on how to get kids moving (as well as yourself) in the television room, at the playground, or at the high school track. There are plenty of fun activities to do to burn calories. Many people who are dedicated to making a difference are opening up children's fitness franchises all over the United States. If you are lucky to have indoor playgrounds in your area or want to build one for yourself, check out Rolly Pollies®, which was developed by two former military officers. This is an example of kid's fitness at its finest. Children love these places and learn from a very early age that physical activity needs to be a part of a daily routine.

My online home business

There are so many reasons why I work from home; I would like to cover a few in details. I started working from home because I’m going to college online and I wanted to make some extra money on the side. I didn’t realize my online home business would turn out to be as successful as it is. When I first thought about the idea of working from home six months ago; I just didn’t think it would turn into a full-time job. I now spend more time on my website then I do on my schoolwork. Don’t worry!! I’m still on schedule to graduate in July of ’06 with over a 3.0 grade point average in Human Resource Management. I just never thought how fun it would be to start a website and find ways to make it profitable; believe me, it hasn’t been easy. The best part about owning your own home business is the sense of pride and gratification you get from something you have created. A lot of us have and are still working at a job we can’t stand; we find ourselves not performing up to our capabilities for various reasons. Before I decided to go back to school almost two years ago; I was working as a car salesman for one of the most successful Honda dealerships on the East Coast. The money was fantastic but I didn’t like the atmosphere. I found myself coming to work everyday thinking about other things; when you’re not focused on your job, your performance slips. Even if you’re a great employee, not having focus will drop you performance output just enough to make you unhappy. I left that job to go back to school and it was the best move I’ve ever made. While going to school online I sat around and decided to think of ways to make money online. I knew it could be done; I just didn’t know how hard it was going to be to find the right program. I researched quit a few programs and spent some money; let me rephrase that last statement; I wasted some money. There are so many home business scams out there promising whoever signs-up with them will get rich overnight; well, there’s no such thing. Another reason I work from home is the ability to learn from and meet new people; if you start your own home business; you better be prepared to work with others; the only way to make it in this business is by learning from those who are already successful. I’ve been in this business for only six months and I consider my self pretty good at this home business game; I say game because that’s the way you should treat it. For Pete’s sake, you’re working from home, you don’t have a boss who’s nagging you, and you make your own hours, it doesn’t get any better than that. You have to treat this like it’s the greatest thing that has ever happened to you; if you don’t, you’ll get burned out. The online home business strategies are changing consistently; if you don’t have fun with it, you’re in for a hurting. Don’t get upset if you have a bad month or get behind on your website maintenance; sometimes it’s good to take a break and get reenergized. This business is a marathon; no one makes it happen over night. Like I said before; this is supposed to be fun. Once you find yourself loosing interest; take a step back and regroup. The more fun you have the more you’ll want to work and learn. The more work and fun you put into your online business, the more successful you will be. I mentioned before how important it’s to learn from others; I got lucky because I found a great mentor within three months of my online home business research. Erich Winnecke is one of the leaders in the field of Online Home Businesses. I let him know my school situation, and how I wanted to make some extra cash. Erich got back to me with some unbelievable ideas and how to accomplish them. I can honestly say I wouldn’t be where I am today without his help. When trying to find a mentor be sure to remember these people are not here to do the work for you. They make a lot of money because they work hard and spend a lot of time making their own websites more profitable. Just try to latch onto them and learn. They won’t do the work for you, but if you show them you are hungry, they will feed you the information you need to get started or improve your home business. When starting your own home based business be prepared to spend some time and money on your development. I said I started this business six months ago; in actuality I’ve been in the hunt for about three months. It took me three months to learn and the last three months implementing what I had learned; oh yeah, I’m still learning new things everyday. Once you become stagnant in this business, you’ll be in trouble. What might be working today might not work tomorrow. I started out working about 8 to 10 hours a week and now I’m putting in about 40 hours a week on my website and advertisements. I can usually put in 5 hours a day during the week; I would like to put in more but my internship and schoolwork come first. The weekends are when I really put the pedal to the medal. On the weekends I usually put in 8 hours a day on my home business; yeah, I sacrifice some social activities, but I didn’t start this to be average; I started my online home business so I could open more doors and have a bright future. The more you put in the more you’ll get out of this. If you’re just starting a home business or are having trouble keeping one going, here’s a few tips. Be sure to find a mentor, be prepared to spend at least $300 a month, put in at least 8 to 10 hours of work per week, read as much information as possible, join a forum that has to do with what you’re trying to accomplish, exchange links with other high traffic websites, build up your rankings on major search engines like Google and Yahoo, write at least 20 article a month and get them published, and like I said before; PLEASE HAVE SOME FUN!!! Oh yeah, I almost forgot; stay away from those scam artists out there; they’re still some of us truthful good people out there who are willing to help or listen to any ideas someone might have in order to better our businesses. I’m not a genius, I’m just someone who wants to be successful in whatever I do; if I can do it, you can do it!!

A must read before acquiring a secured credit card

Banks and other lending entities and companies exist for business. And since business is their priority, profit must never come out their way. All businesses regardless of its capital's size have goals to expand and earn. The system is so simple, product as equivalent to the capital, added with a percentage for profit equals business. Businesspersons always make sure that their capital is not being compromised and they are determined to gain out from the capital. This idea holds true to credit banking and loans. The lifeblood of this business is the interest. It is where the gain that the company gets come from. However, in loans and credit banking, an amount as part of the companies' capital is being given in the form of cash or notes. This capital needs to be returned in due time to keep the capital growing and rolling. When a debtor or a credit card holder doe not pay and intentionally runs away from his dues, the interest or the gain of the company is accumulated but the capital is lost. This is why there are secured and unsecured credits. In a secured credit, the company will ask for a collateral equivalent to the actual amount owed. In the case of a house loan, the house is the collateral for the mortgage. The collateral will later be acquired by the company and sell it to bring back the capital that was lost from the debtor. Secured credit cards use the same system. While on house loans the house is the collateral, and in car loans the car secured credit cards use the bank account that contains the amount equivalent to the credit. By doing so, the company will not have any reason to doubt whether a creditor will pay the dues. Secured credit cards may have lower interest rates since the capital used by the company is being secured by the amount they considered as collateral. In unsecured credit cards however, interest rates may be higher than the secure credit cards since they do not have a hold to any collateral except for the promise of the debtor to pay his dues. Secured credit cards can be acquired in any bank near you that offers such service. In general, all banks use secured credit cards rather to facilitate more the credit procedure. The higher the deposited amount, the broader the credit limit that a bank may award. In so many cases, banks give rewards to good payer creditors. These rewards maybe in kind or in cash. Cash are sometimes added to the deposit of the creditor and need not to ask the latter of a further deposit to the said account but adding up to the credit limit. Most of the time, the bank asks for a deposit more than or equal to the credit limit. This means that banks would actually charge a client $ 300.00 to $500.00 as deposit or as guarantee for the credit card. Secured and unsecured credit cards have their individual disadvantages and advantages. However, the performance of the credit card, secured or unsecured will now be on the shoulders of the company responsible for it. The policies of the lending companies and or the banks are what makes the credit card ugly. Interest rates are part of it, it is the life blood of the company, however, too much interest and climbing rates are no longer just for the clients.

Review google profits the easy way to earn on google

Whenever it comes to investing in information, I always remember the story of the plumber who fixed the factory’s pipes and invoiced a hefty fee for “knowing where to hit”. Here follows my review on an ebook that “knows where to hit” when it comes to making money with Google. The Google Profits ebook by Wade Winger Google Profits opens with an introduction to the basics on a particular brand of internet earning: harnessing the combined power of affiliate marketing and Google Ads. The recommended affiliate system in the book is Clickbank, and you are given everything you need to know, including clear screen shots, on how to set up a ClickBank account and get choosing the eproducts that can earn a steady income in affiliate commissions. The book is divided throughout into two sections: information and action - the information sections tell you everything you need to know, clearly and concisely and the action sections take you through how to do things. Again, with screen shots and very clear instructions. This ebook would be worth it’s cover price for the hand-holding in getting set up with ClickBank and Google Ads alone - but it goes way further. Wade Winger is an honest and easy to follow author, who reads as a supportive guide on the rocky road to internet riches. He gives good information, clearly knows what he’s talking about from direct experience, and he readily shares the tips and tweaks that are the difference between making a profit and running up your Visa bill with Google ad fees that don’t make sales. His safety formula for bidding on ads that will bring results is excellent. Throughout Google Profits you feel like you’re in good and experienced hands, there is never a sense of a half-baked product out to make a buck. Wade is giving you his own time tested recipe for success. He even gives a detailed breakdown of his own test campaigns and shows you how to decide a potentially good earner from a product that won’t earn you money, with just a few days and a few dollars investment. I’ve tested his process myself, and am watching my profits and progress with interest. Once you’ve got the hang of the info from the book, all you really need to replicate the process and set up additional money earning ad campaigns is the handy cheat sheet included as a bonus. With Google Profits by your side, you could well be on your way to a tidy second income. In conclusion: a well presented, informative and hype-free manual to earning money with Google ads and affiliate products. Highly recommended.

Product creation tactics

After your product is manufactured and assembled and you have had a small test group perform a review or beta test, you will need to take one final look at the result before putting it up for sale to the public. Let's be honest, by this stage in the process a great deal of the thrill has probably gone out of dealing with your item. What was once an exciting new idea has probably become something of an ongoing annoyance. You want to get it done, get it on the market, and be paid. Despite these completely natural inclinations, a final examination and edit is in order. You are intimately aware of every word, sound, and contour of your product at this point. That makes you the worst possible person to perform a final check. You will naturally be at least somewhat blind to problems and imperfections simply because of your closeness to the creation. As such, this is a perfect time to enlist the help of an outsider before putting your product up for sale. You do have a variety of options. If you have a trustworthy friend who can evaluate the product carefully and who you know to be capable of discovering and pointing out flaws, that may be a perfect choice. If you don't, or would just prefer the comfort of having an impartial final examiner, you may want to hire someone with the requisite expertise to do the job. For instance, an ebook author might be able to find a professional writer or editor to perform a final review. One may already have contacts that can do the task, or one may find a helpful person via freelancing bid board. You want to find someone who will take the task seriously and who can provide some level of expertise and subject matter skill. You could also use an acquaintance in the product's niche to perform your final check. In order to be sure that the job is taken seriously, payment may be offered. Although this is not the time to apply wholesale changes to your product (unless a glaring problem had somehow escaped everyone's attention), you will want to use the advice you get. After you solicit and receive that final input, you will need to translate it into action. Perform the necessary corrections or changes and you will suddenly have before you a product that is completely ready for the marketplace. At that point, you can marvel at it, shine it up, and start selling. The long process of project creation doesn't just involve having an idea and quickly writing a haphazard report on the subject before peddling it as quickly as possible.

2006 Baltimore orioles preview

2005 Overview: Prior to the All Star break the Baltimore Orioles were playing like they were destined for one of those dream seasons. On June 21, Baltimore held a two-game lead over the division rival Boston Red Sox and had assembled an impressive 42-28 record. The Orioles were also just 24 days away from celebrating Rafael Palmeiro's 3,000th career hit and were 4th in the American League with a .278 team batting average. But after June 22nd Baltimore’s dream season quickly faded. The Orioles would lose their next six games and win only 32 of their final 92 games (just under 35%). Rafael Palmeiro would be suspended for steroid use on Aug. 2, and second-year manager Lee Mazzilli would be fired just two days after Palmeiro’s suspension. The three offensive bright spots in 2005 were shortstop Miguel Tejada (.304 36 98) 3rd baseman Melvin Mora (.283 27 88) and outfielder Jay Gibbons (.277 26 79). On the downside, 1st baseman Rafael Palmeiro (.266 18 60) appeared in only 100 games and the off season acquisition of Sammy Sosa (.221 14 45) proved to be a wasted gamble. As far as pitching, only starters Rodrigo Lopez (15-12 4.90), Bruce Chen (13-10 3.83) and closer B. J Ryan (36 saves in 41 opportunities) proved reliable. The Orioles ended their season with a disappointing 74-88 record, 21 games behind the division-leading Yankees and Red Sox. Off Season Moves: After Free Agent Closer B. J Ryan signed with the division rival Toronto Blue Jays, Baltimore quickly traded Steve Kline to Giants for RHP LaTroy Hawkins (2-8 3.83 6 saves in 2005, 25 saves in 2004 for the Chicago Cubs). The Orioles also added Free Agent catcher Ramon Hernandez (.290 12 58) and 1st Base/ Outfielder Jeff Conine (.304 3 33) as well as former Red Sox Kevin Millar (.272 9 50) hoping to supplement the loss of Rafael Palmeiro as an offensive force in the everyday lineup. Baltimore also traded SS Nate Spears and LHP Carlos Perez to the Cubs for Corey Patterson (.215 13 34) in order to better jumpstart their offensive production in 2006. To address their starting pitching problems the Orioles traded with the Mets for RHP Kris Benson (10-8 4.13) in exchange for relief pitcher Jorge Julio. 2006 Analysis: Expect the offensive additions to help better protect Tejada and Mora. The newly acquired Millar and Conine will probably split time between 1B, outfield and DH. The starting five appear at this point to be Lopez, Erik Bedard (6-8 4.00), Daniel Cabrera (10-13 4.52), Chen and John Maine (2-3 6.30) plus newcomer Kris Benson who is expected to bump Chen or Maine to the bullpen. Although the addition of Benson will help, the starting rotation doesn’t quite offer enough to seriously contend against Toronto, Boston and New York. The departure of lefty closer B. J Ryan will clearly be missed. The Orioles are keeping their fingers crossed that LaTroy Hawkins can once again close games like he did in 2004. Relievers Eric DuBose (2-3 5.52), Chris Ray (1-3 2.66), Tim Byrdak (0-1 4.05) and Todd Williams (5-5 3.30) complete the Oriole bullpen. Javy Lopez will most likely DH this year with the acquisition of Free Agent catcher Ramon Hernandez joining the club.

Cretan tourism some markets lost some new garnered

Many changes took place across the face of earth, since the globalization began to propel the world by the late 1980s. The emerging new world order had many fast growing economies and several new regional powers to be content with. New players in the world tourism were on rise too. While Greece had always been a preferred choice for holiday making, suddenly new players began to fill up this spot as well. Egypt and Turkey in particular had their tourism infrastructure upgraded and were now drawing away a substantial amount of the Greek bound tourism inflow. A majority of these drop outs hailed from the UK and Germany, two of Greece's most influential neighbors. The two aforementioned countries were dragging them away by offering leisure and fun at slashed rates. A less occupancy rate in the rooms across Crete hotels told about this unfolding saga. However, the same trend also saw new markets emerging from the erstwhile communist states like Russia, Lithuania and Slovenia. The fall of Soviet era and the emergence of a new middle class after the initial lull had seen them sending travelers across the world. The Cypriots were also not behind and were more than willing to travel to Greece during the same period. It should be noted down that the contribution of the Cretan tourism to the nation's GDP is substantial, and it employs tens of thousands of Greeks throughout the year. Crete hotels, touring agencies, banking, maritime, airline operations and the ground support for all touring parties make up these jobs. Figures for the period between 2002 and 2007 showed a 20% hike in the number of arrivals from Russia, an earlier non-entity in the annals of Greek tourism. The same stood at 64% for the Cypriots and 55% for the Slovenians, once again a pleasant surprise, keeping in mind their meager past contributions. However, the largest shot came from the Lithuanians, with an increase of 74%. According to the data available from the Crete hotels, the number of the UK and German arrivals, two of the largest Greek bound travelers, have slid down during the same period, but the East Europeans have balanced this slide - to some extent if not fully - by upping their interest for Greece. It is widely known by now, that tour operators play a key role in diverting the flow of worldwide tourism. So for example, if they saw more profits, they might get some of the Greek bound flights canceled; sell cheaper holiday packages to Egypt and Turkey to see packed up flights and hotels there. Even the Middle Eastern hotels would play a key role in charting out these events, since their tour packages, though comparable to those found in Greece, would be maneuvered to favor them. A German tourist may have to pay up to 500 Euros in Crete hotels, compared to 300-400 Euros for an all-inclusive week long stay in the four star Egyptian hotels. The role of foreign tour operators is now being debated in Greece at length and some measures may be taken to reduce their future impact. In the meanwhile though, the Cretan tourism and the Crete hotels in particular can continue basking in the background of the help extended by their East European friends.

Spreading christmas costs with a personal loan

As the days grow shorter and the nights get colder, our thoughts might start turning towards festive matters. Christmas is coming, and while this should be a cause for excitement and anticipation of good family times, for many of us there's something less pleasurable on our minds at this time of year. The holiday season gets evermore expensive, and if money is already tight we might worry about how our finances will cope. It's very common for people to use a credit card to cover the expenses of gifts, food, drinks and socialising, intending to pay off their indulgences in the New Year, but this kind of credit is fairly expensive - especially if your good intentions to repay early don't quite succeed and you end up carrying the debt for many months. Another option is to make use of an overdraft facility at the bank, going 'into the red' over the holiday season. This is a convenient option, but it comes at a price - an overdraft is often expensive to maintain, with both a monthly fee and a percentage interest charge. This can make an overdraft almost expensive as a credit card. There's also the danger that if you overdraw heavily on your account so that you're close to your limit, you're not leaving yourself much financial breathing space should an unexpected expense arrive in January. Besides that, once you've built up an overdraft it can be very hard to pull yourself back into the black, particularly if your normal budget leaves you with little spare cash each month. So what's the solution to this? Are we doomed to a festive season of bread and water, alone and miserable? Well, maybe a personal loan could be the answer. Taking out a loan, if done thoughtfully and with a definite purpose in mind, can provide you with the funds you need to see you through the holidays without plunging you into penury for the rest of the year. First of all, by shopping around you'll be able to take advantage of the intense competition between loan providers, and you should be able to get yourself credit at a much, much cheaper rate than that of a credit card or an overdraft. This means your monthly repayments can be smaller, or alternatively you can clear the debt much more quickly. Secondly, a loan is usually arranged on a fixed rate basis, meaning that you'll know exactly how much you need to repay every month. This contrasts to the variable rates of credit cards and overdrafts, which can change from month to month, leaving you unsure in your budgetting. Finally, a personal loan is most often repaid over a specified length of time, after which your debt has been cleared. With a credit card, it's tempting to just make the minimum repayments, which barely cover the interest charges, leaving the best part of your debt uncleared. This is a guaranteed way to enrich the card company while keeping the millstone of debt around your neck. So is a personal loan the right solution for you? Credit should never be taken out without careful consideration of how it will affect your financial future, and it is of course better to live within your means if possible. However, if you decide that credit is the best way forward then a personal loan is often the cheapest and most effective option.
